Suresh and Ravina
Bhiwani, Haryana, India – In a shocking case that has rattled social media circles in India, a 32-year-old woman, identified as a content creator and social media influencer, has been arrested for allegedly strangling her husband to death with the help of her lover and disposing of the body in a drainage canal.

The incident took place on the night of March 25, 2025, in Premnagar, a locality in Bhiwani, a city in the north Indian state of Haryana.

Background and Allegations

The accused, Ravina, a resident of Joodi village in Rewari district, is known for creating comic and family-themed videos on Instagram and YouTube. She has amassed over 34,000 followers on Instagram and more than 5,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Ravina was married to Praveen Kumar, 35, a local driver working at a sand and gravel shop. The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, have a six-year-old son named Mukul. According to family sources and police statements, the marriage had been strained for some time, largely due to Ravina's growing involvement in social media and her alleged extramarital affair.

About 18 months ago, Ravina connected on Instagram with Suresh, another aspiring content creator from Hisar, Haryana. Their professional collaboration soon developed into a romantic relationship, despite objections from her husband.

The Day of the Murder: March 25, 2025

On the evening of March 25, at approximately 7 pm, Praveen returned home unexpectedly and reportedly found Ravina and Suresh in an intimate act. A heated argument ensued. Later that night, between 10:30 pm and midnight, Ravina and Suresh allegedly strangled Praveen using a dupatta -- a long traditional Indian scarf -- while their child was sleeping in another room.

Ravina allegedly remained calm and pretended nothing had happened when questioned by relatives the next day about Praveen’s whereabouts. She claimed ignorance, even as concern among family members grew.

Disposal of the Body

In the early hours of March 26, at around 12:30 am, CCTV footage captured the duo placing Praveen’s body between them on a motorcycle. They rode approximately 6 kilometers to a remote drain along Dinod Road, on the outskirts of Bhiwani, where they disposed of the body.

The bike was later seen returning with only two riders. This footage became a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation.

Investigation and Arrest

On March 28, after Praveen’s body was found in a decomposed state during a joint search operation by police and family members, authorities reviewed surveillance footage from nearby localities. The footage showed Ravina and Suresh on a motorcycle with what appeared to be a body.

During police interrogation, Ravina confessed to the crime, revealing both the motive and the sequence of events. She was placed under judicial custody the same day. A manhunt is currently underway to locate Suresh, who fled after the incident.

A Case of Digital Obsession Turning Deadly

Investigators say that Ravina’s obsession with social media and her virtual fame was a key source of conflict in the household. Despite multiple warnings and confrontations, she continued her association with Suresh, which ultimately escalated into the fatal confrontation.

This case has sparked intense debate in India over the dangers of unchecked social media influence, fractured domestic relationships, and the risks of digital infidelity.

Police are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding Suresh’s whereabouts. The investigation remains ongoing.
