Husband kills wife, then hangs himself

Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA: In a shocking incident reported from Greater Noida West, a security guard allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute and later died by suicide. The incident took place in Saraswati Kunj Colony under the jurisdiction of Bisrakh police station, creating panic in the area.

 

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Anil (35), a native of Etah district in Uttar Pradesh, who had been living in a rented house in Saraswati Kunj Colony for about a month with his wife Anita. Anil was employed as a security guard in a nearby housing society, while Anita worked as a domestic help in surrounding societies and residential houses.

 

Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple had a heated argument on Sunday December 28 night over a domestic issue. During the altercation, Anil allegedly assaulted his wife, leading to her death. After realizing she had died, Anil reportedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan.

 

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Bisrakh police rushed to the spot and informed senior officials. The field unit was called to inspect the crime scene. Both bodies were taken into custody, and the necessary legal formalities were completed before sending them for post-mortem examination.

 

The police have informed the deceased couple’s family members and have initiated a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events. Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem reports and findings of the probe.
