Bull deliberately crushed to death by SUV, outrage erupts over cruelty

Sikar, Rajasthan, INDIA: A shocking act of animal cruelty has surfaced from Rajasthan’s Sikar district, where a bull was deliberately killed after it reportedly damaged a vehicle during a wedding procession. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, has triggered massive outrage among locals and religious groups, who are now demanding strict action against the culprits.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Wednesday when a Bolero SUV, part of a wedding convoy, was struck by a bull, causing minor damage to the vehicle’s front side. Instead of dismissing the matter as an accident, the vehicle’s occupants allegedly grew enraged and set out to chase the animal.

The situation escalated quickly. Locals claim the SUV struck the bull from behind, causing it to collapse onto the ground. In a shocking act of violence, the driver then steered the vehicle over the bull’s neck, killing it instantly.

Despite repeated appeals from residents present at the spot urging the occupants not to harm the animal, their pleas went unheard. After committing the act, the driver and his companions fled the scene, leaving behind a wave of anger and grief.

The video footage of the attack, filmed by bystanders, spread rapidly on social media platforms, amplifying public outrage. The graphic visuals show locals begging the driver to spare the bull moments before it was run over.

The killing provoked immediate protests from local communities, religious leaders, and cow protection committees. Several seers gathered at the nearest police station, staging a sit-in late into the night. They demanded the arrest of those responsible and warned authorities that if action was not taken promptly, their agitation would be intensified.

Police teams reached the site shortly after being alerted by villagers. The bull’s carcass was examined by veterinary officials as part of the investigation, while officers collected video evidence and other materials.

At the time of reporting, no arrests had been made. However, police stated that efforts were underway to identify and trace the SUV driver and his associates.

The incident has once again highlighted rising concerns over animal cruelty and mob-style retribution in the region, with community leaders calling for swift and exemplary punishment to deter such acts in the future.
