Doctors save man pierced in a freak accident by 5-feet long rod through the neck

    Sagaya Fernando Mumbai: 6 November 22   A team of doctors at Apollo Multispecialty hospital in Triuchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, saved the life of a 33-years-old man whose neck was pierced through by a feet long iron rod.   Karthikeyan, a resident of Ariyamangalam in the city, was watering the concrete slabs on the first floor of his under-construction house when he accidentally slipped and fell 15 to 20 feet down, on October 15. As he fell, a 5 feet long iron rod with serrated edges pierced through his neck and came out from the back.   “Within fifteen minutes of the mishap, his relatives rushed him to our hospital which is in close vicinity,” informed Apollo Multispecialty Hospital, Triuchirappalli, Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon Dr Mohamed Mansoor, who led the operating team.   “On evaluation in emergency, it was seen that he had a 5 feet long iron rod penetrating into the anterior aspect of neck and exiting the posterior aspect of neck.

Thief hangs on to dear life on running train

The thief's plan to flick a mobile phone through the window failed after an alert passenger grabbed his arm.


In a horrifying ordeal for any thief, a man trying to snatch a mobile phone from a train passenger through the

train window was left hanging for his dear life outside the running train for almost 12 kilometers. 

 

The incident too place in the state of Bihar, India, on September 14.

 

The video has now gone viral on social media.

 

The thief hanging for his life is seen profusely apologizing, as passengers hold on tightly to his arms in, keeping 

him from falling off. The passengers are also seen scolding him.

 

The train was nearing the end of its journey from Begusarai junction to Khagaria junction when the thief made 

an attempt to steal near Sahebpur Kamal station.

 

However, his plan failed after an alert passenger grabbed his arm tightly leading to his nightmare ordeal

 

The thief has been identified as Panjak Kumar.


 

For over 10 kms he was hanging outside the train for his dear life, and was finally let go when the train was 

close to Khagaria.


Kumar has been Handed over to Khagaria Railway Police and the case has been registered on the victim’s plea.
