Disturbing footage of a man being hit by a car on a busy highway in India’s Gujarat state and run over, leading to his death, is a lesson to anyone running to cross a busy highway.

A bystander filmed the incident as the victim, who apparently had a scuffle with some people in a restaurant across the highway, started running to get away from the scene even as a woman is heard screaming in the background.

Just as he blindly jumps across the road median, a speeding Innova car hits him, flinging him up in the air. He lands a few metres ahead and the front and back wheels of the car run over him, crushing him to death on the spot.

“The incident took place on the Palanpur-Deesa Highway just half a kilometre outside of Palanpur town, on May 5. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Raju Hira Dhameja. The Innova driver fled from the scene after the incident,” informed Palanpur West Police Station Inspector R K Solanki.

“We have registered a case under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code, and are carrying out investigations to trace the driver,” said Inspector Solanki.

  1. Of course I think the salami is buttery smooth with intriguing spices, but the kids like it too. I gave them a few pieces for breakfast, a time when they are usually grouchy and picky about food, and the daughter gave a thumbs up. The son was distracted and needed to discard his pants and run out of the room for reasons not completely understood. But I don't think this concerns the Saucisson Sec.

  2. There is nothing more important than giving our best effort, all of the time. On an exam day, a good effort means that students attempt everything, even if that means they need to come back at lunch or after school. Show a work ethic, students, and you will not only do better on the test....you will do better in every aspect of your life.
