New Delhi, INDIA: A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death in a road rage incident in East Delhi’s Geeta Colony, police said on Monday 30 June 2025. Two men and a juvenile have been apprehended in connection with the murder.

The victim, Yash Sharma, a resident of Rani Garden, was attacked on the night of June 27 near Ambedkar Park, close to the Geeta Colony flyover, following a confrontation over a minor accident involving a scooter.

According to police, Yash and his cousin Aman Sharma were returning home on a scooter when it allegedly brushed past one of the accused, identified as Rihan. The incident led to a heated argument, which quickly escalated.

The accused — identified as Mohammad Aman, Lucky alias Harshu, and a 15-year-old boy — reportedly chased the cousins. Mohammad Aman was armed with a knife while Lucky was carrying a pistol, officials said.

As Yash and Aman tried to flee towards Pusta Road near the flyover, Yash was caught and fatally stabbed in the lower back by Mohammad Aman. Bystanders rushed him to a nearby hospital in an autorickshaw, but he was declared brought dead on arrival.

A case was registered and investigation launched. Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap in the Yamuna Khadar area on June 28 and arrested Mohammad Aman and Lucky, while the juvenile was taken into custody. Authorities recovered a pistol, two live cartridges, and the dagger used in the crime.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to their involvement and told investigators that the murder stemmed from the scuffle following the scooter incident. While Yash’s cousin has hinted at a possible love angle behind the attack, police have not confirmed any such motive yet.

Officials said both Mohammad Aman and Lucky are known history-sheeters. Further investigation is underway.
